The video installation “Mirna Bosna” reconstructs the commemoration of a revolutionary. The work takes the example of the assassin of Sarajevo, whose deadly shots at Archduke Franz Ferdinand sparked off World War I. This act expressed a struggle for freedom, however was interpreted and exploited by future generations, changing powers and new revolutionaries again and again, while new narratives were woven over and over again to legitimise their own cause in order to lay foundation of their raison d’état.
